01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located on Chiswick High Road in London, CA Japanese Pancakes is a charming brunch spot that brings the delicate artistry of Japanese soufflé pancakes to life alongside an eclectic menu designed to delight every palate. This inviting café is not just about serving food; it’s a feast for the senses, where each dish feels like a carefully crafted work of edible art.

The culinary focus here revolves around the iconic Japanese soufflé pancakes, famed for their ethereal lightness and pillowy texture. The Classic Butter Pancake with maple syrup and homemade whipped cream is a sublime experience—each bite melts gently on the tongue, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and buttery richness. For those craving more indulgence, the Red Fruit and Cream pancake boasts luscious strawberry cream crowned with fresh raspberries and velvety double cream, exuding fresh fruity brightness that embraces your taste buds.

But the menu doesn’t stop with pancakes. Brunch aficionados will relish the Korean Tornado Croissant, an innovative fusion where fluffy, torn-into-spiral omelette nestles within a flaky butter croissant, accented by the earthy allure of grated black truffle and accompanied by fresh slices of avocado and a zingy lemon lift—a truly elevated savoury dish. Equally enjoyable is the Pink Eggs Royale, featuring perfectly poached eggs draped in beetroot hollandaise atop a gluten-free muffin with smoked salmon and avocado, inviting a play of textures and vibrant flavours that impress on every front.

Dessert lovers will find themselves enchanted by the Japanese jiggly cheesecake—a legendary Osaka-style creation that floats like a soufflé with its light, wobbly texture, offering a subtly sweet finale free from gluten and lactose. This delicate treat is perfect any time, starting from 10am to satisfy that sweet craving without overwhelming richness.

The atmosphere at CA Japanese Pancakes mirrors its menu—bright, kawaii-inspired décor in blush pinks and shimmering gold tones creates an uplifting, warm environment that invites guests to linger. This aesthetic charm was fondly noted by customers like Sally Harb, who described the space as “a beautiful little shop” filled with playful elegance, and appreciated the attentive, friendly staff who made the experience all the more special. Guests frequently mention the serene seating areas, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment surrounded by thoughtful design.

Service here is as thoughtful as the dishes. The team goes beyond mere hospitality; they engage warmly with customers, eagerness to describe menu items and share recommendations, ensuring first-timers savor the full experience. The combination of excellent service, thoughtfully curated drinks—such as the authentic and sensational ube and coconut drink—and the unforgettable textures of the fluffy pancakes promise not just a meal, but a memorable outing.

Whether you’re treating yourself to a sweet morning indulgence, craving a sophisticated brunch with friends, or seeking an inviting spot for a quiet catch-up, CA Japanese Pancakes is a standout destination in Chiswick. Each visit feels like a small celebration of flavors and aesthetics, making it a true gem for locals and visitors looking for something uniquely comforting and beautifully crafted.

For a brunch experience that blends Japanese finesse with creative twists and heartwarming service, CA Japanese Pancakes offers an irresistible invitation — one you’ll want to accept again and again.

This place was just AMAZING first I’ll start will the decorations. It was a beautiful little shop it was gold and pink everywhere! I absolutely loved it! It was very kawaii and cute! The staff were very kind and nice I just liked talking to them! We were seated in a nice quiet room where you could just stare at the decorations forever! Now the FOOD I had the Grammas Apple Crumble it was EXCELLENT and very JIGGLY. They had made it beautifully pretty (in the photos we had already started eating) plus the drinks were delish! I got a chocolate frappe it had soft whipped cream chocolate power cocoa powder and chocolate sauce drizzled down the fluffy bed of cream. #perfection! I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a nice cute quiet little brunch spot. Also their menu had a LOT of gluten free, vegan and dairy free things but tasted perfectly normal to me! #SLAY!!

The place is super easy to find and is very cute! My friend and I popped in for a belated birthday treat and I must say it was definitely worth it! The coffee was really good (and I'm very picky about my coffee) and the Pancakes were super tasty and jiggly! As someone who works in hospitality the service was perfect, and the staff were lovely! Definitely recommend!

My go to place for dessert after a hairday in chiswick the pancakes are nice and fluffy, and they are generous with the toppings that comes with it which i find too sweet, but its nothing you can’t fix. This place is well decorated and aesthetic. The staff’s customer service is top notch though, they are all so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone by the area.

Amazing food and the friendliest and most attentive staff! The truffle egg sando was incredible - it reminds me of the ones in Japan, but the truffle adds another level to it. The pancakes, of course, delicious! So much time and dedication has gotten in them to make it aesthetic. The ube and coconut drink was sensational, one of the best and authentic ube drinks I’ve had in the UK. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend, such a unique Japanese restaurant in London

This is such a cute dessert place. The fluffy Japanese pancakes are so light it’s almost like eating a cloud. They have so many different toppings and are very nicely presented and they taste good too. The main dinning room is small but has nice theme like a Japanese tube carriage and great for photos. Service was fast too only nickpick is they prices are bit on the higher side but it’s worth an experience.

Beautiful place in Chiswick . They don’t offer only pancakes but a variety of food, drinks, smoothies all tasty and amazingly and carefully prepared. Amazing experience. If you are a big group it’s better to book in advance . Even though close to busy street the atmosphere was relaxing . Really recommend the place
